New Times for Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program Events PDF Print E-mail
Snow Hill, Md. (November 18, 2013) – Changes have been made to the previously published listing of November outreach events for the Lower Shore Health Insurance Assistance Program.

Please note the following times have been updated for the Pocomoke Walmart and Fruitland Walmart events:

· Saturday November 23 - Pocomoke Walmart, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
· Saturday November 30 - Fruitland Walmart, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
 
Interested individuals can stop by one of these events to learn more about available health plans. Stay tuned for more events in upcoming months.

Staff has scheduled office hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at various organizations throughout Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties. Locations include health departments, departments of social services, TLC Health Centers, PRMC, and libraries. Those interested should contact our toll free number at (855) 445-5540 to speak with a representative to find the closest location and to make an appointment.

Snow Hill, MD – The Worcester County Health Department took part in the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) One Billion Steps Challenge this spring, walking more than six million steps between February and April. Members of Just Walk, Lifestyle Balance, and other Worcester Health programs helped our county place third out of 696 teams across the country.

First Lady Yumi Hogan to host reception for behavioral health art show 20 Md. artists to shine in Annapolis exhibition to raise awareness, to fight stigma
 
Annapolis, MD (March 24, 2017) – The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Behavioral Health Administration is announcing an art exhibition featuring 20 Maryland artists who use their art to challenge the stigma surrounding behavioral health issues and to raise public awareness. The exhibition will be held April 24 at the Lowe House Office Building with an opening reception hosted by Maryland’s First Lady, Yumi Hogan.
