About the Program:
Our substance use treatment and referral services are available for adults and adolescents. Worcester County Health Department serves primarily Worcester County residents experiencing some level of a substance abuse problem with alcohol and/or drugs. The program offers different levels of treatment, at multiple sites. Patient placement is based on the individual needs the individuals we serve. In general, the program offers behavioral health assessments, DWI education program, individual and group counseling for substance abuse, and/or dual diagnosis concerns.
The Behavioral Health Program also offers case management referral services, family consultation, crisis intervention, urinalysis, adolescent services, and other specialized services. Anyone who feels they have a problem with alcohol and/or drugs is eligible for the program. Inability to pay should not be a reason for not contacting one of our offices for help. Fees for services are calculated on a sliding scale. Most insurance plans are accepted. Contact (410) 632-1100 or (410) 213-0202 to schedule an assessment.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES
- Individual therapy and on-on-one counseling with a certified counselor to identify client's specific treatment needs and to work on their treatment goals
- Group therapy
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- Referral Services - contact with detoxification and inpatient treatment facilities, medical resources, shelters, Motor Vehicle Administration, Social Security Administration, and other local agencies to secure support for each client's recovery
