Ben Steffen has been with the Commission or its predecessor since 1994 and previously served as Director of the Commission’s Center for Analysis and Health Information Services. This Center has analytic and operational responsibilities for health care practitioner initiatives in the State including development of an All Payer Claims Database and the Patient Centered Medical Home Program. Earlier in his career, Mr. Steffen served as a budget analyst in the Health, Housing, and Income Security Division of the Congressional Budget Office, where he worked on health care initiatives that lead to reforms of Medicare payment systems for hospital services. Mr. Steffen holds a Master of Arts degree from American University and completed post-graduate work at the University of Michigan. Mr. Steffen served as an American Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal.
