Tracy Tilghman appointed to Behavioral Health Director
The substance abuse treatment and mental health services now fall under the umbrella of an integrated Behavioral Health Program.
Tilghman, a Pittsville resident, has served as the director of the health department’s Mental Health Program since 2010. She’s a licensed clinical professional counselor and licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor.
In the 13 years Tilghman has worked at the Worcester County Health Department, she’s provided services to a variety of populations in both school and clinic settings and provided short term and long term mental health treatment through individual, group and family therapies.
“Her experiences over the past 13 years will be valuable to her as she takes the helm of the Behavioral Health Program,” said Health Officer Debbie Goeller. “We are excited to have such an effective leader for this important position.”
