New Funding Opportunity Available to Support Community Gardens

Snow Hill, MD- The Worcester County Health Department (WCHD) is requesting proposals from community gardens located in Berlin, Pocomoke or Snow Hill to assist with an Alzheimer’s Disease and Associated Dementias project.

Funded gardens must commit to assisting with Alzheimer’s Disease and Associated Dementias prevention education, sustaining the garden and providing produce to community residents. Organizations can request up to $2500 and awards will depend on the number and quality of applications received. A total of $5,000 is available to support these efforts.

Applications must be returned to the Worcester County Health Department (6040 Public Landing Rd. Snow Hill, MD.) by August 2, 2024 no later than 4:30 p.m. A review team will evaluate the applications, and awards will be made after August 23, 2024.  Digital application packets can be found at worcesterhealth.org/minigrant.
