Snow Hill, MD – The Worcester County Health Department, in partnership with the University of Maryland Extension and the Worcester County Library, is pleased to announce a Cooking Up Health class will be offered in Pocomoke this fall.

This no-cost program will teach participants valuable skills related to healthy eating, food budgeting, financial management, growing their own food, preparing nutritious meals, and food preservation.

The program will be offered on Mondays starting September 22, 2025, at the Pocomoke Library, located at 401 5th Street, Unit 100, Pocomoke City, MD. Classes will run weekly from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., concluding on November 3, 2025. Participants will receive weekly incentives to help them apply their new cooking, healthy eating, and food preservation knowledge.
