Snow Hill, MD – Bring your family together while building healthier habits with the Worcester County Health Department’s Strengthening Families program.

This 9-week program uses an evidence-based curriculum to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and develop skills that support a healthy and connected home. The program is designed for youth ages 7-17 and their parents/guardians to attend together. Childcare is provided for younger siblings, making it easier for the whole family to attend.

Families meet for two hours each week, with every session beginning with a free dinner. Through interactive activities and group learning, families explore topics such as effective communication, healthy behaviors, stress management, problem-solving, and other practical skills that strengthen family relationships. Participants also have opportunities to earn prizes and incentives throughout the program.

Past participants have shared the positive impact the program has had on their families, including plans to “be better at communicating with each other” and “spend more time with one another each week.”

• Beginning Tuesday, September 22nd - Snow Hill Middle School (522 Coulbourne Ln, Snow Hill, MD  21863), from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• Beginning  Thursday, September 24th - First Wave Families at Coastal Community Church (10900 Ocean Gateway, Berlin, MD 21811), from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
