Snow Hill, MD- The Worcester County Health Department will celebrate Walk Maryland Day on October 7, 2026, with free community walk events at five locations throughout Worcester County. The annual statewide event encourages all Marylanders to get outside, get active, and make physical activity part of their daily lives.

Local mayors and municipal representatives will join residents at each location to lead the events and encourage healthy, active lifestyles throughout the community. Community events will begin at 12:00 p.m. at each of the following locations:

• John Walter Smith Park - 6030 Public Landing Rd., Snow Hill

• Winter Quarters Golf Course - 355 Winter Quarters Dr., Pocomoke City

• Northside Park - 200 125th St., Ocean City

• Stephen Decatur Park - Route 113 & Tripoil St., Berlin

• Veterans Memorial Park - Race Track Rd., Ocean Pines

This year’s celebration will also feature a community cornhole board decorating activity. Decorating supplies will be provided and participants of all ages are encouraged to take part. The participating municipalities will keep the finished boards for future community use.
